An angel stamp

For a little angel sent from above. My oldest son just became a godfather to a beautiful baby girl. Of course I immediately offered to make a card. He was so grateful for it. And I had just the right paper for the card!

My new stamp

It's a Magnolia "Loving Tilda" and I didn't have anything plan for her when I placed the order. However, I got the email for the Midweek Magnolias challenge and knew I had to use it. But what really got me going was the new papers I got at the scrapbook store. Wait until you see them! I think you will be seeing these on my cards for a little while.

What to do...

when you are creatively stuck? Well, we (Ivonne and myself) get on the phone to talk about it and the "motivator" cheers the "not so motivated one" and gets her going. But, what happens when it's both of us? That's when it gets tough. This was a first for us, especially with Ivonne having health issues. That's when we heard about Midweek Magnolias having their very first challenge. I forwarded the email to Ivonne and asked her if she was up to participate in this challenge. And guess what? She said yes and that got us back on track again. I am so blessed to have a friend/sister in my life like her. She picks me up when I am down and keeps me grounded. Thanks, Ivonne!!!

Hello Friends!

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend.  Are you ready for a new week?  I am so ready!! I am also kind of excited and nervous.  In eleven days, I am going on vacation with my daughter and a group of students and parents from her school.  We are going to Europe!!  It's my daughter's first visit to Europe. Can you image how excited I am to share this experience with her?  I cannot describe how I feel.  I promise I'll take a lot of pictures and I will share them with you, yay!!

And now, back to crafting.  I created today's card for the new Midweek Magnolia's Challenge Blog.  I used the sweet Tilda with a straw hat image and I coloured it with Copics.  The papers are from First Edition Summer Breeze 6 x6 Pad. The ribbon and flower are from my stash.  See below the list of Copics I used:

Skin: E00, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E25, E27, E31, E41
Dress: R0000, R00, R20
Hat and Shoes: E41, E42, E43. E44
Flower:YR00, YR12, G94, YG61, YG63
I outlined the image with W3 for a vintage look.

And here is my card:

I want to lay you down in a bed of...hearts!

Here is the card I created for my dear hubby for Valentine's Day. Now he has one of my creations, and he is so happy with it he's got it on his bedside table. I have been blessed to have a husband that completely supports my love for paper and everything I do with Ivonne for our blog.

Blond boy meets brunette girl, and are still living happily (sometime not so happy but real life) ever after.

Clean and Simple Challenge @ SAS4Kids

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are all having a great weekend.  A few weeks ago, one of my cards was selected as one of the Top Three at Send a Smile 4 Kids blog and I was offered the opportunity to be a guest DT member on one of their challenges.  Today, I want to share with you the cards I created for their Clean and Simple challenge.  There are three amazing sponsors for this challenge:

Doodle Pantry's prize is a $15 gift certificate.
The Cutting Cafe's prize is 3 sets of digital stamps or cutting files.
Sassy Studio Design's prize is 4 digis of the winner's choice.

As usual, the DT will be choosing their Top Three, who will win a blog badge and an opportunity to be a guest DT member in a future challenge, YAY!!!

And here they are.  The first card was created using Holiday Belle Honey from Sassy Studio Design and it was coloured with Copics.  The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry.  Papers and embellishments are from my stash.

Take a look at the second card:

The Cowboy Birdie image is from Doodle Pantry.  Isn't he cute?  It was also coloured using Copics. The sentiment and yellow digi paper are also from Doodle Pantry.

That's all for today my friends, thanks for your visit.  Now, stop by Send a Smile 4 Kids to get inspired with the DT beautiful creations and go ahead and join us in the CAS Challenge.

Hugs, Ivonne
