On your Confirmation

A warm hug to all my fellow bloggers!!  I am back!!  It feels like forever since my last post, I have been so busy these last months. I really want to thank Kathya for her great job with the blog, she has keep it 'alive' with her gorgeous creations. I also want to thank her for travelling all the way from Tampa to Puerto Rico, to share with us some of the most special moments of my daughter's life.  Kathya, you are the best friend ever and we LOVE you a lot!!

Well, now back to business, my daughter's Confirmation was last week and I created today's card especially for her.  I used the Angel with Puppy image from Mo's Digital Pencil and Bear Girls Too digital paper from Nitwit Collections.  The image was colored with Copics.  I used the Magnolia Vintage Tag Doohickey to create the tag. The pearls, ribbon, charm and flowers are from my stash.  Take a look at the card.

Garden Tilda...homespun style!

I created this card with my interpretation of the term homespun. It is for a challenge with that theme. It's very simple. The lace flower: lace from my stash that I sprayed with glimmer mist (including the thread I used to close it down) and a button from my stash. The yellow flowers I crocheted with ribbon and the centers are crochet yarn knotted a couple of times.

Purple is the new blue

I went to the store looking for lilac copic markers and the only two colors I found are the ones I used on this stamp. When I started coloring I couldn't believe how dark they looked! But I didn't have time to start over. Has this ever happened to anyone other than me? Well, I had to keep going and found the DP that became the base for everything else to follow. Now to the title... I am feeling a little creatively blue. See, my partner "in card (crime)" is Ivonne. When I get stuck, I text her a photo and the reason why I am stuck and she replies or calls me and helps me through it. This is something we do for each other. And as some of you know from her previous posts, she is with her beautiful daughter on her school trip in Europe. I miss them so much!!! I think that's the reason that I still went ahead with the purple...because of feeling blue. Hope it makes sense to you!
