Feliz Navidad

Good morning my dear friends. I hope you all had a joyful and peaceful Christmas day with your family and friends.  We went to my parents' house and had a great time with them, my sister, my niece, her hubby and her sweet little boy.  I love watching the younger ones opening their presents and that includes my daughter, who is now 17 years old.  She asked me not to put her presents in gift bags, she wanted them to be wrapped individually, so she can open them as when she was a little girl. I sat down and watched her open the gifts and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Talking about my daughter, I created today's card for her.  She is a dog lover and when I saw the image that came with the Magnolia Ink Christmas edition, I immediately thought of her. It was difficult to find the time to work on it because we are ALWAYS together, so I didn't have a lot of time to play with it and I knew she was also expecting her Christmas card. And here it is.

All wrapped up for Christmas

Happy Saturday everyone! First off, I want to "blog-officially" thank Ivonne for the incredibly beautiful Birthday card. I wish all of you could see it in person. I can tell you this much, it left me standing speechless when I opened the box. And that shocked my husband who kept asking: "what is it?" when he saw me eyes wide opened and jaw dropped. She put a lot of work into it! But more importantly, it shows how much love she put into making this card for me, and then later writing such a beautiful post for it. In a world that sometimes can be filled with confusion, pain, sadness, or even anger, I feel so blessed to have her, my soul sister, in my life. From the bottom of my heart: Thank You, Ivonne!

And now for today's card. Isn't he a cutie? I got a little out of my comfort zone and painted random strokes of acrylic white paint over the DP papers, and immediately cover it with some glitter snow just to try something new. He is on his way to the North Pole. And I'm on my way to the store for shopping. Enjoy!

For Someone Special

Hello my friends. I hope you are all having a great weekend. Today’s card is a very special one. Kathya’s birthday was back in November 18th and I knew it was going to be difficult to create a card for her, not because she is a difficult person, but because I wanted to express everything I feel for her with a card. I wanted to be something special. She has been right next to me through so many great and no so great moments. She has laughed with me in my happiest moments and she has cried with me when I have been sad and confused. She always knows what to say or when I just need someone to listen. She makes me laugh really hard, we just have to be together, even on the phone, and it is like magic, we laugh! I love when she gets mad at me for no reason, because I know it is because she cares so much about me…

What can you do for someone like that? What can you do for one of the most special persons in your life? I started thinking what to do and then, I saw a card Dena created for one of her friends, I used it as inspiration. Well, let me just tell you, I started the card about five times, different papers, different colors, different images…OMG, it was really difficult.

And here it is, for you my friend, my soul sister, I hope you had the most incredible birthday ever. Thanks for being my friend, for being part of my life, for always being there for me. I love you dearly!!
Warning: I included a lot of pictures, so you can see all the details.
